 Nuwara Eliya is a region with avery cold climate.Its environment is also beautifully adapted to the climate.Nuwara Eliya is one of the most popular tourist destinations in our country.










The city is also nicknamed "LITTLE ENGLAND" due to its cold climate and colonial style bungalows.This is a city in the hill country of the central province, Sri Lanka.It is at an altitude of 1868 m and is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka.Sinhala and Tamil is the major language spoken in the Nuwara Eliya.The population is a mixture of Sinhala, Tamil and the Moors.Many tea plantation workers are Indian Tamils brought over to Sri Lanka by the british in the 19th century.

There are many places to visit in Nuwara Eliya.Each of these places has a lot of tourist attractions.

Victoria park is a well maintained park situated in the heart of Nuwra Eliya.The park also has a children's play area and some rides that make the place enjoyable for an ages alike.


 As well as the Pedro Tea Estate is a famous tea farm located about 3.5 Km away from the city of Nuwara Eliya.It is known for its cultivation of pure ceylon tea, grown on the terraces of the Piduruthalagala mountain.


Lake Gregory is a local reservoir situated in the city of Nuwara Eliya.It is a popular place for tourists to visit and enjoy some recreational activities.The lake was named after sir william Gregory in 1873 during the british era.Tourists can roam around the lake with the help of boats available for hire.

The Hakgala Botanical garden is the second largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka.It is a part of the Hakgala strict Nature reserve and was established in 1861.


In addition we can visit Sita Amman kovil, Horton plains, moon plains, Ambewela, Laxapana Fall, Nanuoya Fall and many more places..❤️
