Limestone pond 😍❤️

Limestone is a sedimentary rock. These are mainly formed underwater. It takes hundreds of thousands of years to create, and the floors are thousands of feet thick. There are three types of rocks, depending on how they are formed.Namely Igneous rocks, Sedmentary rocks and anomalous rocks. There are many limestone caves in Sri Lanka and some of them are Vavulpane, Marapana, Pannila, Seethakotuwa, Sandagiriya, Sthripura, Jaffna Periyamandapam, Opanayaka Adirilena etc.In nature, limestone is a rock that contains water and in almost all cases, it is in subterranean bodies of water.

But there is a wonderful place with a system of large limestone ponds nera the Duvili falls, the eastern waterfall on tje walawe river, which has become a major tourists attraction.Limestone has grown in the wild elephant reserve in the middle of the Rajawaka event forest, the origin of the Samanala wewa water lake and there are many places in the village where this limestone pond is located.

This is called the limestone pond because of the large number of pools formed by naturally eroded limestone ponds. The bottom of the limestone was as transparent as a concrete mortar or the bottom of a swimming pool, and it was not disturbed or contaminated at all.Inside the limestone are various small aquatic plants as well as large trees growing in the middle of the stream.

Sometimes we can see coral reefs, just underwater.A water bath in a place like this with high calcium content is not suitable and can cause limestone destruction. The balance of this event can be upset as it had been appropriately covered for the environment over a period of time.
